Why does Alica jump?
With two kids and an age that might suggest it's time to "grow up," I rebelled and decided I can still learn something fun and "cool." And so began the era of "new half-year =...

In 2026, I competed in The High Jump Battles in Porto, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
I made it all the way to the final, where two jumpers faced off against each other - and we were both jumping on fast bead ropes, LAMALU MINI.
Yes, I ended up winning the final. But honestly, that wasn't the most important part.
The strongest thing was the energy.
When you jump alone or at training, you focus mainly on yourself, technique and tricks. But a battle in front of people is something completely different.
The music plays, people clap, shout, cheer and react to what you're doing. And suddenly you don't feel like you're jumping alone.
That energy simply flows back and forth between you and the crowd.
For me, it was one of those moments when I told myself: this is exactly why I love jumping so much.
Not because of the result. Not because of who's first and who's second.
But because of that feeling when you're doing something you love, and around you are people experiencing that joy together with you.
Of course, I had one more small personal joy on top of that.
In the final, we were both jumping on LAMALU MINI.
As the founder of LAMALU, it was really nice for me to see. Not because I cared about which rope would “win”. At that moment, it made no difference to me whether I won or the other jumper did.
Instead, I realized that two ropes, which were born at our home from the idea of making a faster bead rope, were suddenly both on stage in Porto.
And that was a very pleasant moment.
In the end, I won the battle, which of course made me very happy.
But I see it more as the cherry on top of the whole experience.
What I take away most is the atmosphere, the people, the music, the adrenaline, and that feeling when you jump in front of a crowd and feel that everyone is experiencing that moment together with you.
And that's exactly what jumping means to me.
Joy, energy and people who share it with you.
